The Fort Eustis Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) was created to provide one stop, compassionate and coordinated services to Warriors in Transition (WTs) and their Family Members. The SFAC staff, consisting of a director and five specialists, has partnered with the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) to provide tailored support services that prepare Soldiers for transition back to their unit or to become a productive member of the civilian workforce.

Our facility includes a central reception area, kitchen, internet cafe and children’s play room. Many services are available in the SFAC building to ensure convenience to the WTs and their Family Members. Other services will be brought forward to the SFAC or provided through priority off-site appointments coordinated by the SFAC staff.

As the Global War on Terrorism continues, injured and ill Soldiers are assigned to Warrior in Transition Units for rehabilitation and medical care. Their sole mission is simple--to heal. The SFAC mission is likewise simple--to streamline and deliver essential services to our WTs and their families.

"I am a Warrior in Transition.  My job is to heal as I transition back to duty or continue serving the nation as a Veteran in my community. This is not a status but a mission. I will succeed in this mission because I am a Warrior and I am Army Strong."
