The Information and Referral (I &R) is the first point of contact within the SFAC. The I&R Specialist will conduct an initial needs assessment and provide information regarding military and civilian resources to the Soldier and their Family.
Goal: Link customer with available and appropriate resources
Information and Referral may include but is not limited to:

Conducting intake evaluations with Soldiers and Families assessing need and referring to the appropriate service for assistance

Serving as an initial point of contact for all SFAC services

Providing consultation services to civilian agencies assisting military families

Extensive and current file of local public, private and voluntary service agencies and organizations

Providing contact information for National Guard and Reserve family assistance liaisons

Following up with each customer to ensure services were appropriate and useful
